Travelin’ turtle tracked by transmitter 1,350 miles from Naples
Since June 16, when trackers glued a satellite transmitter atop her shell, PPJ739 has traveled about 2,200 kilometers (1,350 miles) _ about the distance between Naples and Columbus, Ohio _ stopping off in the Dry Tortugas before catching a ride on the currents through the Florida Straits to Bimini and then making a beeline for the Bahamiam island of Andros.
