The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission signed a resolution Thursday in Apalachicola urging the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to recognize Florida’s strong conservation measures and actions to protect the gopher tortoise.
At its meeting Wednesday in Apalachicola, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission selected three sites for an anchoring and mooring pilot program. Two more will be chosen in April.
