Coastal waterbird monitors have spotted four birds, called magnificent frigatebirds, with yellow wing tags marked with numbers and a letter. The birds turned out to be part of a research project under way on the island of Barbuda, in the Lesser Antilles, home to the largest colony of magnificent frigatebirds in the Caribbean.
